Prof. Dr. Jörg Risse was a partner at the international law firm Baker McKenzie for over 20 years. There, he served as lead counsel in high-profile arbitration proceedings both in Germany and abroad. In addition, he has extensive experience as an arbitrator.
Since 2026, Jörg Risse has been working in his own law firm, independently and free from the conflicts of interest inherent in a large law firm. He now focusses on his work as an arbitrator and mediator. In addition, he continues to serve as a party representative or expert witness in arbitration proceedings.
Jörg Risse is active as an arbitrator worldwide, according to the rules of all major arbitration organizations.
